After a great deal of research on a number of web pages I’ve found that this add-a-tray is a package that has 2 (two) trays. It’s not easy to tell this from the product description!
(I will be ordering this and I haven’t received it yet so I can’t comment any further. My rating is based on a combination of my expectations, the price, and the fact that there are 2 trays there. )

I already had the American Harvester FD-75PR and used it, so I was pre-sold on the product. Although Nesco says that the dehydrator will handle 12 trays (it does), so far, it appears that you have to add so much time to the process, the additional trays may just be an added expense. After I have had more time to evaluate thouroughly, I will write another review and verify or repute that observation. Margy

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT. IT DRIES QUICKLY AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANT – EVENLY. IF IT ONLY HAD A TIMER IT WOULD BE PERFECT.

I was looking for a way to start making my own jerky and found it with this dehydrator. I have pretty much only made jerky from ground beef and bison, but I can tell you that it works great. Needless to say, I am very pleased with this purchase!
