Also, how long should I leave them in the dehydrator?

Slice meat very thin 1/4 inch thick ( works best if meat is partially frozen ) and use a liquid marinade of :
1/2 C Worchestershire Sauce
1/2 C Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon Cayene or Red Pepper
Marinate meat for at least 24 hours and then put on dehydrator until meat is thoroughy dried…most dehydrators call for 12 to 16 hours minimum. Enjoy !!
Hi Mountain Jerky Cure and Seasoning–hickory blend. My husband made the best deer and beef jerky using this recipe. http://www.himtnjerky.com or check you local larger grocery stores for it. He used the dehydrator but he made so much at one time he started using the oven. All I remember about the dehydrator was he would always have to alternate the trays. Sorry I could not be of more help on the dehydrator but do check out the Hi Mountain Jerky Cure and Seasoning..it is well worth it..the best jerky I have ever had.
