This food processor was given to me as a birthday gift last year. It worked well the first time I used it. Then. . . the second and all subsequent uses the thing would NOT SHUT OFF! For a year I had to plug it in to turn it on and unplug it to turn it off! It was a gift and it did its job fairly well, so I tolerated this unorthodox method. Then last Sunday while using it, it simply refused to click into place anymore and therefore would not operate. Christmas is coming up and I’ll be adding a food processor to my list. . . as long as it is NOT this one!

I bought it for my mom, and she can prepare her favorite stuff in it, even “pasteles en hoja”
Thanks!

Like other reviewers, I bought it because of the price vs value equation. It works as advertised and I will keep it until it breaks. However I am not thrilled. For one thing, it is way larger than I realized it would be. Its core unit has the blender bowl base permanently attached to the SIDE of the motor unit for a 12 inch base. And the motor unit is a sort of tower, 10 inches high. With 8 inches of depth, it is difficult to store in a cupboard and with the ample bowl and lid stored separately, the whole thing takes up too much space. The motor is quite loud, so I wear ear protection. Maybe they all are loud, I don’t know. The shape of the mixing bowl is broad and flat on bottom so food blasted out to the sides sticks to the walls. There is no natural flow. So you have to open the top and scrape the walls with a spatula. Cover, spin again and repeat. Seems like a bad design. But it is in a completely separate price category from the others, which seem way overpriced for what they are, so I guess you get what you pay for.
