I used my new blender for the first time today to make blender hollandaise. I have done this many times with other blenders and have had no problems. Today, I put the egg yolks in the blender, put the top on and took off the locking cap to pour in the butter. When I started it, the yolks came flying out the top. I had to put my hand over the opening to try to pour the butter in. Neadless to say, the hollandaise was horrible. Does anybody know if I did something wrong? Has anybody else had this problem?

This is a great blender. It is very powerful, seems to be able to handle whatever I need to blend. One word of warning, do NOT start blending without the cover on.

I love this blender. It has a lot of power and the blades work in such a way as to blend very quickly and efficiently.

Works great. Heavy base, large glass pitcher, simple reliable control. The conrol only has three settings. Pulse. Speed 1, Speed 2. Don’t be fooled into thinking you need all those other buttons and settings. Believe me, I’ve owned many blenders and the the only three buttons I’ve ever used (and most everyone else ends up using) is pulse, low and the highest speed its got. Every other button basically stays in like new condition because its never used. Be honest with yourself and think back to any blender you’ve ever used. Did you really need any of those nine other buttons. So, don’t be fooled.

I liked this blender and at its price point is hard to beat. Mine just died, three months to the day after I ordered it. I used it to make smoothies using frozen fruit and i used it four to five times a week for that task. The motor has been slowing and today it stopped and smoke was coming from the base.
Having said that, I think it is a good blender for less strenuous tasks. I made a tomato soup in it and it worked wonderfully. Also handled milkshakes a few times with no complaints.
At the price point (under $40), I could buy four every year for a while until it added up to some of the smoothie maker price tags.
