I’ve been drying tomatoes in the Ronco 5 tray dehydrator. I’ve been rotating the trays – doing everything the instructions say. I’m at the end of the drying process and have found this white mold on some of the pieces. What have I done wrong? Should I have soaked the tomato pieces in lemon or something before?
I have a few 30g silica gel desiccant bags that need to be recharged.. I do not want to have to open them and use an oven, so could I just put them into a food dehydrator? Has anyone ever recharged them by doing this? Also, how long should it take? Thanks to whoever helps!
